Happy Birthday to Me! Happy Birthday to Me! Happy Birthday to Me!
THANK YOU so much for the warm birthday wishes and “get-well” wishes also. Sick Status: I’m well! There’s that pesky “last remnants”, but for the most part, no more fever, cough or cold chills. New Update: I’ve now turned into Nurse Antoinette; as my parents are now both sick. I arrived at their home last night to make soup, deliver meds and be “me”!
So, today…all in all, it was a warm feeling in my midst, when I awoke in my parents home to birthday wishes. You know that feeling that never goes away from being in complete comfort, protection, and solace that only parents can provide. Even though, I was the caretaker; it was still magical for some reason. As I’ve said, I’m just grateful that I’m better and now nursing them back to health.
In true fashion, my mom was making amends for “being sick and unable to celebrate my birthday in big fashion”. But, I didn’t care. In addition, just like when I was a kid, she delivered me some heart warming, tear jerking birthday cards and leaned over to kiss me saying “Happy Birthday Angel; we love you”! (yes, that’s my nickname). My dad, said “Angel, we’ll have birthday celebrations a little later”. But for me….all is well! Birthday Soup for everyone!
I’m such a sucker for family time and memories. My birthday cards are always meaningful and I have most of them from my childhood through today. Undoubtedly, this birthday will be memorable, given all of the germs. Geesh!
Many of you have said “have a good day”, “do it up”, “enjoy…you deserve it”! And I say “yes, I am enjoying it. As I cook and administer flu cocktails”. Oh, my dad introduced me to the TV show, “Amish Mafia”! Sadly…I’m hooked. In fact, I’m off to the store to get me a cupcake to celebrate “me” and more ingredients for birthday soup for my patients.
Wherever you are today — be thankful and bask in the ones closest to you! And if you’re looking to escape some real life scenarios, check out Amish Mafia. Who knew? Having down time allows your creative juices to restore. You’ll return to work fresh and full.
And on the business front, here are FIVE ways to nurture clients:
- Send birthday cards
- Send a handwritten note on a branded note card – just because!
- Create a branded calendar for the month
- Send a winter recipe card, branded of course (favorite recipe)
- Give away a product
Nurturing your clients makes them feel special, but also helps you flex your “authenticity” muscle. Remember, once you “get them”, you’ve got to keep them!
Be sure to take advantage of my Power of 5 Birthday Specials to continually learn more marketing, sales, mindset and nurturing steps for clients; as only a Rich Chick can. It’s time to earn like you mean it and leave a legacy to those coming behind you.

There are all great ideas of how to make your clients feel special! Happy Birthday!
Thanks Stacey! Have at it! If I can be of support let me know!
Oh, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Celebration is a wonderful thing, and even more so when you have the privilege to do it amongst loved once. I whole heartedly agree. And I have to admit. I look forward to my birthday celebrations more and more each year!
Indeed! We are twins, as I LOVE my birthday!
